Been a Busy Girl!

Hello all of you in blogger-ville!

I've been very busy lately and wanted to up date you all on my happenings. Knitting has been the theme. Projects have actually been getting done! Woo hoo!

A few weeks back I bought Debbie Stoller's book, Stitch 'n' Bitch. While not all the projects are my style, it's got excellent step by step instruction that even an elephant could learn from. I've been dying to learn to knit in the round, so I could eventually knit socks and fingerless gloves. So, I picked a hat out of this book to accomplish that goal. It's called The Kittyville. It's suppose to have cute ears on the top. Well, it turned out a bit smaller than I had intended, so it's now been gifted to my son. With that being said, I knew my hubby probably wouldn't want his four year old running around with cat ears on. **sigh** So, here it is my first attempt at knitting in the round:

Once I got that down, I decided to try a baby hat from the same book. It says that it's for and infant-6 months. It's for my neice, so I'm praying it fits. She's only 4 months, but it looked awfully tiny. This one only took my a couple hours over the course of a couple days. It was finished yesterday, and mailed off, too! I hope Pheonix gets it in time for Valentines Day.

Finally, last night (while watching Law & Order) I knit up this little number. It's a 60" scarf. Dear hubby says it reminds him of Halloween, but it was a quick, fun, and inexpensive project. The yarn was found at the dollar store, so the scarf cost about $1.50 to make (only a skein and a half was used). It's probably my fast knit project to date. It took less than two hours to complete.

Thanks for looking,
